Providing Scouting activities for young people throughout Aldershot, Ash Vale, Cove and Farnborough since 1909
At the last count we had over 900 youth members between 6 and 25 years of age and over 200 leaders providing exciting programmes for our young people.
We always welcome new members and we will be able increase the number of young people we serve if more adults will give up just a few hours each week to help us deliver the wonderful programmes we have and the exciting and adventurous activities we provide.
Volunteering with young people
Most of our volunteers work directly with young people aged 6-18 through our Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer groups, known as sections – helping young people gain skills for life through activities and adventures.
Volunteering improves your wellbeing, gives you skills for the future, and helps you make new friends.
No previous experience with young people? No problem. Whether you’d like to help out week-after-week or whenever-you-can, we provide training, learning opportunities and cups of tea – every step of the way.
Our newest section, Squirrels is for 4 -5 year olds.
It’s designed to help young people gain skills for life at a time when it matters most and where it’s most needed.
Develop new skills. Soar to great heights. Being a Cub opens up a whole other world.
Cub Scouts are aged between 8 and 10½.
